Engagement vs. Education
Create content that educates without boring young audiences.
Personalization at Scale
Generate unique videos for each team with their specific data, across multiple Swiss cantons.
Familiar Format Strategy
We adopted a "Spotify Wrapped" and "Strava Year in Sport" approach. Familiar, engaging, and celebratory, creating personalized recap videos that feel like entertainment while reinforcing democratic education.
Design Process
Research & Concepting: Studied youth engagement patterns in digital media and social sharing behaviors
Storyboarding: Developed initial storyboard concepts, focusing on narrative arc and pacing. Then created the detailed storyboards for each location.
Prototyping: Prototyped key interactions and transitions to test information hierarchy and emotional impact
Asset creation: Worked within the provided design system to bring the storyboard to life and adapted visual elements for motion graphics and animation requirements
Animation production: Crafted smooth, engaging motion graphics in After Effects
Hybrid Animation Pipeline
We developed an innovative two-stage production process: first creating all the animations and visual effects in After Effects, then having developers integrate real-time game data using Remotion to generate unique videos showcasing each team's journey, achievements, and rankings.
